It should also be noted that if the day is very hot, reaching up to 40 degrees, it is impossible not to feel hot. Regardless of whether you are wearing cool clothes and are standing under a huge shady tree, you will experience the effects of high temperatures such as sweating and stress.

In fact, even if you go "naked" on the streets, you can't escape the heat. That's a fact of life. Now, what you should know is that there are some clothes that will reduce the heat sensation a bit, without giving up your desire to dress stylishly in summer.

From Gerrys Ttropez, we are going to share the eight basics that every man should have in his wardrobe so that he doesn't feel so hot during these sunny days.

How to dress stylishly in summer without dying of the heat

The clothes to include in your wardrobe have to meet one basic principle: they should be light, fresh and multitasking. Making the right additions to your wardrobe is what will make you dressing stylishly in summerWhether you're planning a visit to the beach, a cruise or a simple picnic in the city park.

Here are the eight basics (or so-called Summer Essentials) for you to splurge on style this season, from head to toe and from head to toe. All without dying of heat - pay attention!

  1. Bermuda shorts

There's no denying it; this is the most basic garment that all men wear in summer, yet they never go out of fashion and help to create the most attractive looks on hot days.

However, to keep them cool, the shorts you choose should be made of thin cotton or cotton with linen, including cool wool (if you want a more formal look).

  • Polo

In recent years, polo shirts have been resonating more and more strongly in the fashion world. In fact, they have established themselves as an essential staple in men's wardrobes not only in summer, but also in spring and autumn.

Now, on sunny days, it's important to opt for piqué, a material that is still cotton, but has micro-perforations making the polo shirt more breathable (although it may still stick to your body when you sweat).

  • Cold wool shirt

Cold wool shirts are one of our favourite garments to wear in the winter. dress stylishly in summer, without the heat being a nuisance for you. These pieces are made of a material that is nothing more than wool, but it provides great freshness and lightness, thanks to its fine texture that transpires very well.

Of course, its name does not mean that it is a cold material, but it does have thermoregulatory properties that adapt to your body temperature. Many people get confused with this garment, because as they are formal shirts, they think that we are getting hot. Nothing could be further from the truth!

The cold wool is characterised by its grammage, moreover, to find out if it is really cool you just have to put the piece in the light and if you can see through it, it means that you won't feel hot when you wear it.

  • White trousers

If you want to attract attention this season, a good pair of white trousers, preferably made of linen, is a must in your wardrobe. This colour is cool and ideal for summer.

In case you opt for a model made of cotton, make sure it is not during a very hot day. Avoid wearing trousers in heat-trapping colours such as black or navy blue.

  • A hat

Hats add a festive air to any summer outfit, however, these accessories not only play an aesthetic role, they also have a functional role. They protect the face and head from the sun's rays, helping to mitigate the sensation of heat.

When it comes to materials, make sure you choose hats made of natural fibres such as straw, wicker, rope, canvas and cotton. This way your skin will breathe, as these materials allow the surrounding air to pass through.

  • Swimwear

Who says that in order to dressing stylishly in summer should you forget about swimwear? Whether you're going to the beach or taking a quick dip in a pool, you need a carefully chosen swimsuit.

The swimming costume is an excellent alternative to shorts and can even be worn after swimming.

Our advice is to invest in at least one pair of quality swimming costumes, with technical fabrics that dry quickly and don't lose their shape. Also, make sure they have beautiful and refined prints to make them special.

  • Chic and simple shirts

These ecumenical garments that are worn all year round, both in the office and in your free time, are great if you really want to  dress stylishly in summer. Not only because they are elegant, but also because they have a reduction of fabrics that make them light and cool.

Chic and simple shirts are usually made of different materials, such as cotton, linen mixed with silk, and even include additional heat-resistant measures (no sleeves or collars).

And remember, summer also calls for fantasy, so give the green light to all those variations that we tend to shy away from in formal settings, such as tropical, postcard and floral prints.

  • White trainers

Sneakers are invading our shoe racks, as they don't distinguish between age, race or religion. Just go for clean, unadorned styles.

In other words, buy simple but refined white trainers for your summer outfits. Leave those models with fluorescent, highlighter-style soles for runners and athletes who are loyal to sporty looks.

Conclusions

With the arrival of the long, hot days, it is quite normal to start thinking about what to wear to feel comfortable without being disturbed by the heat. Of course, there are those who get complicated in the choice of their pieces, but the truth is that it is not necessary to give so many turns to the head.
